I Detectives attached to the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, Intelligence Response Team (IRT) have arrested the most wanted suspected kidnapper in Nigeria. The suspect simply identified as Evans was arrested in his mansion at Magodo Estate, Lagos. Magodo is said to be one of the highbrow estates, where prominent Nigerians and foreign businessmen reside. The suspect was allegedly the brain behind most of the high profile kidnap cases across the country. It was gathered that the suspect has been on the police wanted list for years. Daily Trust on Sunday learnt that the suspect was arrested at his residence around 1pm yesterday after weeks of discrete investigation by the IRT team led by Abba Kyari, an Assistant Commissioner of Police. Chinaza Onwuasoanya has been the Special Armed Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Anambra State Police Command, for allegedly selling 20 stolen babies. Onwuasoanya was impregnated by her boyfriend in Lagos and returned to Anambra State in October, 2013, to have the baby but was too ashamed to go back home to her parents.   After giving birth to a baby girl, a friend introduced her to 45-year-old Goodness, who runs an orphanage, which the police alleged was a cover for a baby-trafficking operation.   Onwuasoanya handed over the baby girl in exchange for the sum of N150,000.
